Over 40 10th District Elected Officials Endorse Bob Dold

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – October 20, 2016

Lake Bluff, IL – On the heels of receiving the endorsements of the Chicago Tribune, Daily Herald and Chicago Sun-Times, more than 40 local elected and community officials announced their endorsement of Bob Dold for re-election over Brad Schneider.

These endorsements come from all four corners of the District because of Dold’s record of bringing positive bipartisan solutions impacting the community most, including growing the economy, creating jobs, increasing local transportation and infrastructure projects, reestablishing local control for education, and tackling the prescription drug and heroin epidemic.

“Working with local elected officials is instrumental in confronting tough issues both here in the 10th District and in Washington. By partnering with mayors, trustees, board members and other local leaders, we have been able to bring new jobs to the area, advance our education system and improve our transportation and infrastructure. I am honored to receive their endorsements and look forward to continuing working with them in the future,” said Dold.

Wheeling Village President Dean Argiris noted that his support for Dold stems from not just the work he has done in Washington, but also for the work he is doing in the community. “While I’m a proud Democrat, I’m behind the people who go above and beyond for the residents of my community of Wheeling, which is why I’m putting all of my support behind Bob Dold. Bob is a strong leader that not only spends copious amounts of time in our community helping constituents – from organizing and hosting job fairs to accompanying the Village of Wheeling Team and the KCCOC on a trip to South Korea to bring more economic opportunities to our area. He was also instrumental in recruiting Richelieu Foods manufacturing plant to Wheeling and providing 125 new jobs to our residents. I am proud to endorse Bob Dold for the 10th District Congressional race.”
