Citizens for Responsible Energy Solutions Formally Endorses
Rep. Bob Dold as Clean Energy Champion for Illinois
November 1st — Today, Citizens for Responsible Energy Solutions (CRES) cited Rep. Bob Dold as a 2016 Clean Energy Champion and formally endorsed his re-election bid for U.S. House in Illinois 10th District.

CRES is proud to announce Rep. Bob Dold as a 2016 Clean Energy Champion and formally endorse his re-election bid for U.S. House in Illinois 10th District,” CRES Director of Federal Affairs Andrew Bird said.

Dold.
In the final days of this campaign season, CRES has maintained a steady commitment to ensuring that Clean Energy Champions who place results and commonsense energy policy before partisanship are elected to Congress. To date in 2016, CRES has spent more than $1.7 million in support of U.S. Senate and House candidates that are are focused on advancing renewable energy solutions.
Rep. Dold’s record on clean energy includes:
- Rep. Dold introduced the Great Lakes Water Protection Act, implementing a 2035 deadline to stop sewage dumping in the Great Lakes, and has also co-sponsored legislation to keep the Great Lakes Restoration Initiative reauthorized and well-funded.
- Rep. Dold co-sponsored the Mechanical Insulation Installation Incentive Act, bipartisan legislation that would create 25,000 jobs annually, save $35 billion in energy costs, and reduce millions of metric tons of carbon dioxide emissions.
- Rep. Dold joined with eleven fellow members of Congress to form the House Republican Energy, Innovation and Environmental Working Group.
